Unlike today, the Triassic vegetation did not include flowering plants. Trees would not look very familiar to us today, although some were relatives of modern day ferns and podocarps. Plant life would seem very drab, just green and brown. There was no grass. Instead, low ground cover was limited to ferns and mosses.
